Harvest Celebration 2026
A look back at our Harvest Celebration 2026 in Bergères-lès-Vertus: candlelit cellar tastings, a day in the vineyards, a new collaboration with Martin Key, and first impressions of the 2026 vintage.
Every September, we invite our Personal Vintage clients to our Maison in Bergères-lès-Vertus to celebrate the harvest. It is our way of sharing where our champagne begins: in the vineyards, in the cellar, and with the people who make it.
Friday: candlelight in the cellar
The celebration began on Friday evening with an intimate Personal Vintage tasting in our cellar. The setting was small, the light came from candles, and the focus stayed entirely on the wines. For many of our clients, it was the first chance to taste their own vintages alongside the people who made them.
Saturday: a day in the vineyards
On Saturday, guests from around the world joined us among the vines. Lunch was served in tents in the vineyard, with French cuisine, live music and, of course, the art of sabrage. In the afternoon, guests tasted the full HATT et SÖNER range. The day ended with a gala dinner at a château, followed by dancing late into the night.
The 2026 vintage: an unusual year, and a promising one
2026 was a harvest unlike most. Picking started unusually early. We harvested Les Sept Vents on 14 August, Vieilles Vignes on 18 August, and Oger on 20 August.
The first juices are showing great promise. Extreme intensity will show in this wine. It is far too early to say what 2026 will become in bottle, but it is a vintage we will follow closely in the years ahead.
Thank you
Thank you to all our guests for a weekend celebrating craftsmanship, friendship and the harvest. We look forward to welcoming you back in Champagne next year.
Please enjoy HATT et SÖNER responsibly.
